Social Media helps client retention, builds personal connections

How often have you wished you had a little more time to spend with your clients to make a personal connection? Some of your customers walk in the office every six months for a renewal quote and then you may not see them again until their policy is up again. You’re missing out on the changes in their lives and opportunities to service them when they need it most.
With the world-wide web, you can meet your customers where they are spending their time: Facebook and Twitter.
According to facebook.com,
- More than 250 million active users have accounts
- More than 120 million users log on to Facebook at least once each day
- More than two-thirds of Facebook users are outside of college
- The fastest growing demographic is those 35 years old and older
By setting up your agency on Facebook and Twitter you can make sure your clients know more about the industry and what your agency can do for them. For instance, when you know that Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s son turned 16, you can remind that it is time to add him to their auto policy. The birth of a little bundle of joy may prompt beneficiary changes for life insurance policies, perhaps additional policies too. And when it’s time to go off to college, wouldn’t you like to offer money management help by signing up your customers for Prepaid debit cards?
For as little as $5 a day, you can also target your audience with advertisements that are sure to get their attention. Not sure where to start? Sign up today for Insurance Journal’s webinar
And be sure to become a fan of InsTrust Insurance Group on Facebook and Twitter!
